Kinda wanted to yap about this new gamemode Zack.T.Koopa made. It's called Destruction Derby. It's a co-op mode where you must destroy most of the level before time runs out. IMO, its a really good mode but don't play it if you HATE lag. Also yoshi transport is the main way to get from one way to the other so its a plus.

an update to this comment: turns out the gold flower powerup IS real and it just acts like a fire flower with the gold ring activated. apparently, you can't store it without it turning into a fire flower. it's basically a rare alternative to the gold ring. it still wears off, turning it into a normal fire flower. this is only the second time I have encountered it.
